Conference topics
The aim of the international scientific conference is the presentation of current knowledge on the health safety and quality of poultry meat, poultry products, eggs, egg products, fish and fishery products, wild and farmed game products and honey. The poster session may also present current knowledge on health safety and quality of other food commodities.

Conference fee (we are not VAT payers)
Conference fee for active and passive participants (160 € early registration | 190 € late registration) includes the costs of organisation and technical support, renting of conference places and audiovisual equipment, publication and peer-reviewed electronic proceedings (on USB), translation of conference materials, simultaneous translation of lectures (only on May 15), dinner on May 14 (it is necessary to declare your interest in the registration form), lunch on the main conference day (May 15) and social evening.
Lunch on Friday May 16 is not included in the conference fee.
Conference fee for the company presentation (380 € early registration | 410 € late registration) includes the above-mentioned organization costs (for one person). Each additional person thereafter is subjected to the registration as active or passive participant and pay the conference fee. Each person, who will participate in the conference under the fee for company presentation must submit the online registration form individually. Please note that the event will be documented photographically.

In exceptional circumstances, the fee can be paid at registration. The payment at registration must be notified by email hygiena.alimentorum@uvlf.sk until May 28, 2025.

Guidelines for active participants
Active participants of the HYGIENA ALIMENTORUM conference should choose the form of their participation: oral presentation (lecture) or the poster presentation. The output of the conference will be an electronic peer-reviewed proceedings with ISBN, which will contain contributions of active participants, lectures and poster papers. The proceedings will be published on a USB drive and distributed to all registered participants of the conference.
Manuscripts of lectures or poster contributions to the electronic proceedings must be prepared according to the following guidelines:
Manuscripts in English language write in text editor Microsoft Word, font Times New Roman 12, margins 2.5 cm, A4 format, 1.5 line spacing; pages not numbered.
Title of manuscript: align text to centre, capital, bold.
The names of authors: without degrees, align text to centre, bold, write the omission of one line.
Author’s address: align text to centre, italics. Footnote the affiliations of authors from different departments using superscript letters.
Abstract: align text to the edges; write after the omission of one line.
Key words: max. 5.
Subheadings of paragraph, images, charts, tables: align text left, all signs large, bold.
Paragraphs: align text to the edges, followed a typical structure for scientific papers (introduction, materials and methods, results and disscusion, acknowledgement, references and contact address).
Figures and tables placed in the text, title above the table and under the figure.
For the preparation of the paper, it is also possible to use the template, which is placed on the conference website. Manuscripts of the lectures or posters will be reviewed and those which do not meet these guidelines will be returned to the author for revision. The organizers reserve the right to select a reject of the contributions. Selected manuscripts will be published in the scientific journal Folia Veterinaria or profesional journal Maso. Contributions should be sent by e-mail hygiena.alimentorum@uvlf.sk at the latest April 28, 2025.
GUIDELINES FOR POSTERS Active participants, who choose to participate with a poster paper, in addition to publishing their paper in the electronic proceedings, also present their contribution at the conference in the form of a poster, on a multimedia touch screen. The poster presentation should be prepared in PowerPoint, and must include at least a title with the authors’ names, the department and contact e-mail address. The size requirements for the poster are: width – 60 cm and height – 80 cm. Conference participants with a poster are expected to be present at the mutimedia screen during the poster session (according to the conference programme). Posters should be submitted in PPT or PDF format by email to hygiena.alimentorum@uvlf.sk no later than May 4, 2025.
GUIDELINES FOR LECTURES Time for plenary lecture is 25 minutes and for lecture 15 minutes in Slovak, Czech or English language. The time for the oral presentation is strictly reserved for a set amount of time according to the program. Please bring presentations on your USB stick. A member of the organizing board will ensure downloading of your presentation and setup of audio visual equipment before each block of lectures.
Accommodation is arranged and paid by the participant. In Hotel Patria **** – Štrbské Pleso, please book your accommodation exclusively by email under subject „hygiena alimentorum“, not through the hotel’s online booking system.
